Having children is a major life changing event. They can be a bundle of joy and at the very same time, they make you want to pull out all your hair and drive you crazy. However no matter how difficult children can be, parents should be very grateful they are even able to conceive in the first place.
A lot of couples have trouble with conception. Either there is a complication with the man or the woman. Some people don’t mind not having children and that’s fine but it’s heart breaking for those who are always trying without success.
One option is IVF ( In Vitro Fertilisation). This process consists of taking the man’s sperm and the wife’s egg and joining them outside the body (in a glass ‘in vitro’). Once the egg is fertilised, it is placed back in the womb so it can multiply and form the foetus. As simple as this procedure may seem, it’s far from it! IVF can cost several thousands and usually the waiting list can be for years before the actual treatment can take place. For any couple who can afford it, IVF may be the solution but for many IVF is not even thought about.
This is where hijama comes in. As we know, hijama removes stagnant blood allowing the body to make a greater supply for fresh oxygenated blood which in turn improves the circulation. Now there are many causes for infertility.
Some women may experience infertility for many reasons. Most of them are associated with the fallopian tube. The fallopian tube’s function is to carry the eggs from the ovary to the uterus. If the tube is blocked or mutated, the eggs are unable to be carried to the uterus and conception won’ t happen. Other reasons can also include the way the body’s immune system reacts to the eggs-usually attacking them.
When men experience infertility, there are also many reasons, some of them include weak sperms that can’t ‘swim’ properly. Also, there could be problems with the testes.
When hijama is done, this should improve the circulation and allow a healthy blood flow around the entire body, which should help in conception; therefore any stagnant blood is removed along with extra waste in the blood. The sperm and egg should be able to meet and consequently the egg should be fertilised and 9 months later…a baby!
