al-hijamah blood flow

Cupping can improve the flow of qi (pronounced Chi) and blood. R R R

For example, in smokers wet cupping can increase oxygen levels in the blood. R

It may help with arrhythmias and Coronary Artery Disease (CAD). R

Wet cupping can improve heart rate variability (HRV). R

In clinical practice, cupping is often used to lower blood pressure and relieve symptoms of hypertension, such as headaches and anxiety, although the evidence is not overwhelmingly strong. R R

It may also headaches, migraines, and fainting. R R R

Through the shifting of blood, cupping can help discharge waste materials. R

For example, wet cupping (with scratching) is able to remove toxic metabolites in the blood of those with angina. R

The blood found in wet cupping has higher levels of Myeloperoxidase (MPO), so removing it from the body reduces oxidative stress. R

Wet cupping and Al-Hijamah may be useful for reducing high levels of iron (hyperferremia and thalassemia), increasing HDL cholesterol levels, and lowering LDL levels, triglycerides, and uric acid in the blood. R R R
